The Melinda Dress
Introducing The Melinda Dress, another stunning piece from our Luxury Collection. Following on from the sensational Annabelle Dress, this is yet another deliciously tempting piece that you will definitely want in your wardrobe!

Designed by our very own team here at SENTINAL, The Melinda Dress is so-named after Melinda, who has just celebrated a year as one of our mentors. Our regular readers will of course remember her from the dramatic take-down of James in our classic real-life story The Office Seduction.
It is becoming a bit of tradition that each of our mentors have a unique design attributed to them, so Melinda worked closely with Anita and her team to come up with a dress that she would most like to see her burgeoning stable of interns wearing. Anita gave us an insight into the design of the piece:
“When Melinda found out that she would be involved she couldn’t wait to get started! We pretty much had the design of the dress down immediately. Melinda wanted to maximize it’s impact so chose a seductively short length, figure hugging with a sumptuous turtleneck and deep, oversized cuffs. She selected the most feminine shade of pink possible to totally disarm her feminized charges. I then picked out the softest, most luxurious mohair yarn with which to craft this amazing dress.”

The opulence of the gorgeous piece is certainly reflected in the price and Melinda’s interns would definitely feel the pinch when they were forced to buy one. Rumour has it that one of her poor assistants had to give up the ticket for his favourite sports team in order to purchase his dress.
“The final cost came to more than $600 and one of Melinda’s interns did indeed have to surrender his season ticket in order to pay for his dress!“
Anita
When I asked Anita if it was a true story she smiled broadly and confirmed that it was as she went on to explain.
“The final cost came to more than $600 and one of Melinda’s interns did indeed have to surrender his season ticket in order to pay for his dress!
The powerful symbolism was not lost on us. It was almost as if he was giving up his old life along with the ticket and in buying and then wearing the dress, he was accepting his new role under Melinda.”
Naturally as we are image consultants here at SENTINAL we didn’t stop there! We wanted to create a complete look with the Melinda Dress as the centerpiece.
First, the shoes, and what entrance you will make in these! These black Balenciaga Knife 110 Spike patent leather pumps have been designed with exacting detail in Italy, crafted from leather, feature a pointed toe, ankle strap fastening, a 110 stiletto heel height, silver tone hardware and spike metal embellishment.
These knife heels may hurt more than just your bank balance, sweetie, because with these ones you could really stab someone in the back. We suggest you pair these patent leather pumps with a pair of Wolford superfine cotton rib tights.

Slip the deliciously oversized cuffs of the dress over a pair of long cashmere ribbed gloves by Dolce & Gabbana then sling your Givenchy Mini Pandora Box cross-body bag over your shoulder and you’re good to go!

But we didn’t stop there! To show the versatility of the Melinda Dress we put together a second gorgeous ensemble. Some of our interns can sometimes be a little too much on the cocky side at the start of their feminization. So Melinda, along with our stylists created a second look which would keep their arrogance in check.
Instead of a sexy mini dress, we styled as a long turtleneck sweater by pairing it with a floor length skirt by Rachel Pally. Crafted in a fine ribbed jersey, this ultra-feminine skirt sweeps and swirls dramatically around you at every turn! (see it in action in one of our previous posts where we introduced it to an unsuspecting intern here). Indeed this skirt has fast become one of the wardrobe essentials here at SENTINAL.

“If an intern has a more arrogant disposition we temper that by dressing him in layered looks and in full length dresses and skirts. On the flip side if they are a little on the shy side then we put them in more provocative shorter skirts and dresses.”

We also swapped out the Balenciaga pumps for a more subtle pair of mules by Burberry. Made from the finest smooth leather, they are set on a lower sculpted block heel more in keeping with the overall tone of the look. Melinda explains the strategy of creating multiple looks around our luxury pieces:
‘All our interns have very different personalities and so have different tastes when it comes to fashion. However we never lose sight of the fact that we are feminizing them and part of this process involves the gradual phasing out of their old persona. We have found the most effective way to do that is to style them in a way that goes against their personality.
So if am intern has a more arrogant disposition we temper that by dressing him in layered looks and in full length dresses and skirts. On the flip side if they are a little on the shy side then we put them in more provocative shorter skirts and dresses.
In this way we are constantly subverting their natural tendencies which will ultimately enable us to build their new female persona more easily.’
An interesting insight indeed from Melinda on just one of the many new measures brought in by Ann since she took over the reins of the ImageMax programme.
So, the only thing you need to ask yourself is……which Melinda are you? The uber-sexy turtleneck dress and outrageous heels or the demure yet enticing turtleneck sweater and long skirt?
